i'm feeling better now.
anyway, back to my favorite topic, which is about me...
i finally received my first-ever credit card! my buying powers had just quarupled!
the first thing i did? ditch work tuesday (regardless of the fact na may pending work ako before the boss) and go to moa! hahaha!
i gave the card one good work-out, if i do say so myself. pag di dumating yung christmas bonus ko, patay na. pero i got new clothes and new shoes naman. hahaha!

Random Train of Thoughts
three cousins of mine invited me to join facebook in separate occassions. i finally gave in and signed up. in the midst of editing my profile, one question set me off: that is, the part asking me what my political view is. the choices are as follows: very liberal; liberal; moderate; conservative; very conservative; apathetic; libertarian; and others.
my answer: none of above.
my view of politics right now: i'm pretty much disgusted with it all.
as the title of my blogspot (which, fyi, is fluff4brains) suggests, i'm steering away from heavy topics like religion and politics, not because i'm apathetic or i have no care about it, but because i surf the net to unwind and not think deep thoughts. so whenever i'm online, i'm definitely in denial land where the government is perfect, the people are all selfless and nice, there's nary a problem in the world, and (this is my favorite part) it's all about me.
hence, my post yesterday, which pretty much ignored the manila pen incident on thursday.
but for now, since facebook inadvertently reminded me of reality which i cannot seem to run away from, and since a friendster message from a friend in japan was so worried about it all (this is a warning to all those who heard me whine before and have no intention of hearing me do so again), allow me to rant:
shame on trillanes and his group who hides their personal agendas behind allegedly nationalistic motives. you're worse that the people whom you criticize. next time, use your brains and think about the consequences of your actions. you may say that you're doing it for the good of your country but have you ever thought about the people who are going to suffer because of your thoughtless actions?
shame on the media (esp. channel 2. korina sanchez just lost all my respect for her. ayoko nang maging kapamilya. mas may integrity ata ang mga kapuso. for 20 years, you've been deceiving the people you placed their trust on you). you've forgotten that freedom of the press is not absolute. no freedom is, for that matter. all of us must work within the bounds of the law. your duty to give information to the people must give way to public interest and public good.
shame on corrupt government officials and employees that give honest and hard-working government employees a bad name. trillanes and the media exercised bad judgment, but you gave them the excuse to do so.
if there's anything i learned in life and in the judiciary, it's that there are always two sides to one story. so i know na it's not my place to judge people (lalo na kung walang appellant's at appellee's brief, heehee). pero i believe with all that i am that the time will come that these people will face Judgment and will receive all that is coming to them.
meanwhile they must own up to the consequences of their action.
